Burlesque 101
Burlesque 101 is the perfect class for the beginner. No matter your shape, size or experience all are welcome. Burlesque 101 is an introduction and gives our students a taste of what burlesque performing is. Burlesque 101 is a 7-week course that will cover the history of burlesque, creation of a persona, burlesque hair and makeup, costuming, bump and grind dance movement, as well as a rehearsal for a intimate live audience. Students will have an optional recital at the end of class. To become a full fledged graduate, students must take burlesque 201

  • Class tuition is $225 with a $75 non-refundable deposit, if paid three weeks in advanced for Portland class listings. After the that the classes are $250. If paid in advance burlesque 101 and 201 together is $425 and the deposit is non-refundable $150.
  • Classes are every Wednesday from 8-10pm for seven weeks beginning March 14th in Portland.

Announcing Burlesque 201!
Burlesque 201 is a 7 week class for students who have completed Burlesque 101 or have been performing for a year. The class will cover advanced hair and makeup, advanced body movements, how to pose for photos, performance as a business, as well as work-shopping a new number to be performed at a 201 recital. Students need to bring a number to be fine tuned for the six weeks.

  • Class is $250 if paid three weeks before class start date.
  • Class is $275 if paid after.
  • There is a $75 non-refundable deposit.
  • If paid in advance burlesque 101 and 201 together is $425 and the deposit is non-refundable $150.
  • Class size is limited to 7 students.

Things to Know

  • Payment plans are approved by contacting Holly Dai at info@rosecityschoolofburlesque.com
  • Deposits are non-refundable, and non-transferrable to another student.
  • Fees paid for one class are not transferrable to another class.
  • student cancels BEFORE CLASS STARTS – deposit is non-refundable, but any other class fee will be refunded.
  • If student drops out within two days after first class of a session, 50% of total class fee may be refunded to student.
  • If student drops out three or more days after first class of a session, their spot is not fillable, and thus their class fee is non-refundable.
